The Tradies, 2011 Australian Masters Championships
SEVENTY MEN'S TEAMS representing each of the States and the Territories participated in the following age categories: Over 35's; 40's; 45's; 50's; 55's; 60's; 65's and over 70's. For the over 40's through to the over 55's, competition was in two divisions (Div 1 & Div 2).
With some 190 round games and 30 finals being played, this was a significant sporting event for the Canberra district.

THE ACT TEAMS. Of the ACT teams, the 50's blue team were the most successful, taking out their 50's/2 competition by defeating WA (4:0) in the Saturday final. The 60's side had slotted into third position in the rounds, facing then the semi-finals. However, this positioning left them vulnerable to elimination in a drawn outcome, a situation that was realised in a (1:1) game with WA. The ACT 45's/2 team also made the semifinals as the second ranked team. However, they were defeated by NSW (4:1) in the second semifinal.
